He was born on the 30th of July, 1962, in Aliagali village of Agdam region. In 1977, after finishing 8th grade of Aliagahali village school, he moved to Baki city along with his family. In the same year he entered the Baku Polytechnic College. In 1981 he graduated with honorary diploma, and soon after was called up for the military service.
In 1983, he completed his military service in Leninsk city Of Kazalhstan republic and began working in the Office of Tunnel Construction in Baki. A year after working there he entered the law faculty of Baku State University in 1984. In 1986 he was sent to the Higher Military School of KGB named after Dzerzhinsky in Moscow together with several students. Nadir Aliyev returned to Baku in 1991 and he completed his studies with honors. The National Security Ministry, hired him, taking into account the experience of Aliyev. And along with working for The National Security, Nadir also continued his education in BSU.
He loved his homeland more than life itself. The Garabagh war left thousands of people without a shelter. The fire of anger blazed in his heart. He was sent to the front with his own request. Aliyev, the brave soldier and a sensitive person became a hope of the population of Garabagh while working there. Nadir Aliyev as a chief officer in many operations in Agjabadi, Agdam, Shusha, Agdere regions was doing his best to ensure the safety of the civilians.
On the 22nd of July 1993… in the heavy battle for Giyasly village of Aghdam region, he died heroically.
He was married with two children.
Aliyev Nadir Alish was posthumously awarded the title of the “National Hero” by decree no. 218 on the 9th of October 1994, by the president of Azerbaijan. He was buried in the alley of Martyrs in Baku. High school number 282 in Surakhani district is named after the hero. A memorial plaque was put in front of the building where he lived.
